Prof. doctor of science, Ranko Goić was born in Supetar, Brač island in 1969. He graduated, mastered and got a PhD degree from the Faculty of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and naval architecture - Department for electrical/power engineering (in 1992, 1997 and 2002 respectively). Ever since his graduation he has been employed at the same Faculty i.e. in the Electric power Bureau holding a status of a full professor.

Since 1994 he has been, concurrently, running a Company Fractal LLC Company, as a founder and co-owner thereof, dealing with engineering and consulting in development, preparatory works, contracting, constructing and operating of RES  (wind and solar plants) in Croatia, Serbia, B&H, Montenegro, Hungary, Israel, Spain and a few more EU countries.

Areas of scientific and professional expertise, he is involved in, encompass analysing and planning of transmission and distribution networks operation and construction, modelling, simulation, optimisation and economics of electric power system operation, renewable energy sources and the electricity market. He published over 30 scientific works in journals indexed in CC databases as well as many other professional and scientific papers.
