CGES, the company of a huge potential, which is recognized as a leader in the sector, not only in the state but in the wider region, is headed by Ivan Asanović, electrical engineer, with respective experience in the energy sector, who has so far exercised numerous opportunities aimed at progress of this energy company not only in terms of higher investments but also regarding corporate values in general. Business operations of our company in the previous period were successful in all the Company's sectors, which, after all, enabled matching of our mission and vision with the strategic goals. We continued to strengthen our leading position in the state and wider region and to implement capital investment projects. Also, we have responded to all the challenges and proceeded with investments aimed at improvement of transmission grid performances.

Ivan Asanović was born in 1982 in Podgorica. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Montenegro in Podgorica, earning the degree of graduated electrical engineer – energy and automation department.

His professional career began in 2005 in the international construction company CYVAS General Trade LTD – Cyprus. His employment in Elektroprivreda Crne Gore – FU Transmission began in 2006 as an engineer for maintenance of substations in the Maintenance Department. Since 2009, he was deployed to the position of the chief engineer for maintenance of substations.

Since 2010, he took part in implementation of the international investment project of undersea interconnection line Montenegro-Italy. In the period 2011-2019, he was head of the Department for Secondary and Information Systems, and since September 2021, he has been performing the duty of the Chief Executive Officer in CGES.

He is a member of the Chamber of Engineers of Montenegro, as well as the national and Paris committee of CIGRE.
