Since September 2021, Yngve Engström holds the position as Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Montenegro, overseeing the programming and implementation of EU pre-accession support.

Following a career in the Swedish national administration, Mr Engström started at the European Commission in 1996 and has held different management positions dealing with enlargement policy and the Western Balkans.

Mr Engström has worked at the EU Delegation’s to Serbia, Albania and Turkey, and has headed the unit for Regional Cooperation in the Western Balkans and Turkey in DG Enlargement.
