MSc Željko Marković

Željko Marković is an expert in business design and configuration of utilities, electricity market organization, tariff design for use of TSO and DSO and electricity prices, TSO, DSO and utility energy planning and development and conventional and RES power plants development. Zeljko has 25+ years of experience in Energy

& Resources industry, and 20 years he has spent working in the field of electricity distribution, sale of electricity and capital project development in Public Enterprise

Power industry of Serbia (EPS) and DSO Electrical distribution of Serbia (EDS). His career has included CEO roles in Serbian leading electricity supplier “EPS Supply” selling about 35 TWh of electricity per year and Director of EPS’s Department for electricity distribution. From 1997 until 2007, Zeljko was engaged as teaching and research associate in Faculty of electrical engineering, University of Belgrade.

Taking part in the working groups established by the Serbian Government on the preparation of several laws and by laws, including the last Energy Law and Law on use of RES, he was engaged on harmonizing Serbian legislation with the relevant

EU energy legislative and regulatory framework. He has also cooperated with Energy Agency of Republic of Serbia (Serbian regulatory agency) in preparation and adopting of methodology for setting tariff elements for pricing of use of transmission and distribution system and last resort supply.

He is a member of the IEEE, and the holder of the IEEE Power & Energy Society Chapter Outstanding Engineer Award for 2016, for valuable contributions to the electric power industry as a researcher and as a manager.

He is a member of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers, and he is licensed as a responsible designer for high and medium voltage electrical installations - switchgear and power transmission, and low and medium voltage electrical installations.

From 2016 until 2023 he was a member of the Commission for issuing energy infrastructure licenses at the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.

Zeljko joined Deloitte in 2017, and he is Deloitte’s Energy, Resources & Industries leader for CE South cluster (Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Albania and Kosovo*).

Marković holds M.Scs. in Electrical Engineering from University of Belgrade, Faculty of electrical engineering.
